The Doyle Hotel - Charlottesville

Nice place for exploring Charlottesville. Everything was perfect here - always accommodating staff and beautiful rooms. Marvellous and favourable location especially in common areas, next to Virginia Discovery Museum. Also - short walk to restaurants and shops and galleries and museums.

The attached restaurant and downstairs bar were also available.

Loved the staff's friendliness, but the off-site parking was inconvenient.

The amenities were fantastic with a cozy rooftop bar that served delicious drinks and a lovely spa where I enjoyed a relaxing massage. If you're looking to unwind, their steam room and relaxation lounge are definitely worth a visit! The only downside was the check-in process which could use some streamlining, but overall, it was a great stay 😊

The hotel was modern and beautiful. We loved the rooftop bar with its fine view, and the food was delicious. It was a treat to unwind with the little ones while enjoying the ambiance.

My kids wished there were more activities for younger children. Having a play area would make it more family-friendly.

Perfect for family getaways

The hotel itself is really good, great location. I really enjoyed the rooftops bar for sunsets, Nick was super friendly and took care of us. Everything was clean and provided a cozy atmosphere. Just wished the check-in process wasn't such a drag.

It wasn't cheap but for what we got it was still acceptable.

Charming Stay with Minor Bumps

We spent 2 nights in a cozy standard king room. The rooftop seating looked inviting, but we were turned away despite open spots. Insist on reservations if you're hoping for a view! Enjoyed breakfast at the on-site café-great coffee and the avocado toast was a highlight.

The location was ideal for my work at UVA hospital, and the rooms were modern and well-appointed. I particularly enjoyed the spacious layout and beautiful decor. The rooftop bar offered a great atmosphere with fine sunset views.

Electronic check-in was confusing and the parking fees were higher than expected.

It's great location between the downtown mall and the corner, so we walked everywhere. The interior was like an art museum, which we loved. The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely, a gem that we would choose again!
